Fall has officially arrived in northwest Montana, bringing with it beautiful sunny days, crisp nights and an array of flavors. When it comes to tasting fall, there’s no better place to dig in than Kalispell. With a robust culinary scene, it’s easy to find something fall inspired to sip, eat and enjoy. In Kalispell, our restaurants, coffee shops, cafes and craft beverage makers offer seasonal, limited-time offerings to ensure that residents and visitors alike can taste the rich flavors of autumn.
To help guide your culinary tour of fall 2024, here are nine places to try:
1. Wheat Montana. Located on Main Street and with deep Montana roots, Wheat Montana has five fall drink specials. Try their pumpkin spice latte, hazelnut mocha, cinnamon roll latte, iced maple cold brew or apple cider chai steamer.

2. Casa Mexico. Family-owned and -operated, Casa Mexico has been serving up delicious Mexican classics since 2001. One to try: chicken en mole. This dish features tender chicken, mild chilies, aromatic spices and the perfect balance of sweet and savory, featuring cinnamon and cloves. Pair the mole with a fall-themed cocktail, like an amber apple margarita, pomegranate margarita, cranberry mezcalita, pumpkin delight or autumn mule. @casamexicomt on Instagram
3. Bonelli’s Bistro. A local favorite, Bonelli’s is a tasty place to have lunch or dinner. Their specials rotate regularly and feature fall vegetables like eggplant, sun dried tomato, arugula, zucchini, squash, dill and more.
4. Sable Coffee. Treat yourself to something sweet to eat and tasty to drink with a pumpkin scone and caramel apple lotus at Sable Coffee. Additional fall drinks include pumpkin spice chai, cinnamon spice mocha and a brown sugar iced latte with pumpkin and cinnamon cold foam. Enjoy a drink inside or grab a drink at the drive-through.
5. Bias Brewing. Their location on Main Street in one of Kalispell’s historic buildings is a great place to enjoy an attic window pumpkin ale. The beer is a classic pale ale, with pumpkin pie spices added toward the end of the fermentation process. @biasbrewing on Instagram

6. Glacier Distilling Company. If you enjoy baked apple, caramel, spice and whiskey, be sure to pick up a bottle of gold minder apple brandy (or enjoy a cocktail in Glacier Distilling Company’s tasting room in Coram). This brandy is worth the wait – it’s made with honeycrisp apples from Rollins and aged in oak barrels for three years.
7. Big Mountain Cider Works. Combine a hearty salad (like the apple butternut squash salad) from their menu with a snow devil cider. It’s sweet, easy to drink and has just a touch of cinnamon. An added bonus: Big Mountain Cider Works has an onsite orchard where they grow and source apples for their made-right-here ciders.

8. Bonjour Bakery & Bistro. A must stop in Kalispell, Bonjour is a great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or a snack break. When it comes to fall treats, they have a nice selection that includes apple caramel danishes, pumpkin macarons, pumpkin scones and seasonal cupcakes. @bonjourbakeryandbistro on Instagram
9. City Brew Coffee. While you can find City Brew in several locations around Montana and the western U.S., Kalispell has two locations that make it easy to munch on apple-filled donuts and pumpkin bread. Wash it all down with a pumpkin spice cold brew or pumpkin white mocha.
