A Winter Getaway to the Wachholz

With the opening of the Wachholz College Center in late 2022, Kalispell has further established itself as the arts and culture hub of northwest Montana. Today, the Wachholz (as locals call it) hosts a variety of performances, from concerts to plays and symphonies and everything in between.

Brash Rodeo Winter Series 2024-25

November – March

Rodeo has been a part of Montana’s culture since the first cowboys arrived over 150 years ago. This event includes bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer riding, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, calf roping, and chute dogging. Brash Rodeo is Western Montana’s longest-running series open rodeo.

50th Annual Bigfork Whitewater Festival

A cherished local tradition! The Swan River flows into Bigfork Bay, and the final mile of this stretch is known as the “Wild Mile,” featuring a Class IV section of whitewater. From May 23 throug 25, spectators can enjoy front-row seats to some of the best whitewater action in the Flathead Valley.
