Things to Do

Anyone can visit Kalispell. But this isn’t a place that should just be visited. It’s a place for venturing boldly and digging deep through guided tours and off-the-beaten-path experiences.

One of the best ways to experience a place like Kalispell, Montana, is to go beyond the surface. From tours to educational experiences and soaking up local history to cruising the best two-lane roads Montana has to offer, there is so much to see, do and enjoy in and around the Flathead Valley.

The best way to see Montana is on a scenic drive. Easily accessible from Kalispell, local favorites include the loop around Flathead Lake, Kalispell to Libby (with a stop at Kootenai Falls and the Kootenai Falls Swinging Bridge) and Glacier National Park.

Make a full loop around the Crown of the Continent by taking U.S. Highway 2 along the park’s southern border before traveling back to Kalispell on the jaw-dropping Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Experienced guides and outfitters are well-equipped to provide the most memorable tours, trips and activities possible, with options that include llama treks, year-round kayaking excursions, horseback trail rides, fishing adventures and interpretive tours.
