WATER RECREATION FLATHEAD LAKE: Big Sky Fishing Charters: home of Howes, A-Able, & MoFisch Charters has six boats available for fishing year round around the Flathead Valley. We offer Full and Half day fishing trips for groups 1 up to 15 people. All boats have covered areas, heat, enclosed cabins & restrooms. We also have a 4 hour tour Jun.-Sept. Big Sky Fishing Charters also offers a four hour lake tour on Flathead Lake for groups. Tours include getting to & on Wild Horse Island where you may see Wild Horses, Big Horn Sheep, Bald Eagles and other wildlife while hiking the trails. There are other sites to see around the lake such as Painted Rocks; a little history lesson included in that. For larger groups wanting to adventure on Flathead Lake we give you another option. Rather than breaking your group up into the smaller boats (which is also great if you are competitive), we have a 30’ Thunder Jet available. We take 7-16 people on this boat fishing, touring or both. Full & Half day trips available Jun.-Sept. OTHER AREA LAKES/RIVERS:  Big Sky Fishing Charters: home of Howes, A-Able, & MoFisch Charters has access to the 18’ War Eagle, which makes casting & jigging a breeze. Depending on the season, you can choose to catch Rainbows, Bass, Pike and more. WINTER RECREATION: Ice Fishing: Big Sky Fishing Charters: home of Howes, A-Able, & MoFisch Charters offers ice fishing in modern times. You will be kept warm with heated portable ice houses that include top of the line equipment. Use of camera’s & sonar only add to this experience. Availability Dec. 15 – Mar. 15, ice permitting.

Rodeo has been a part of Montana’s culture since the first cowboys arrived over 150 years ago. This events include bull riding, bronc riding, chute dogging, roping, barrel racing, and steer riding. Downtown Kalispell Walking Tour

June through September

The Downtown Kalispell Walking Tour is a well-researched and high-quality tour that showcases the evolution of Kalispell as a cultural, economic, and transportation hub of Northwest Montana’s Flathead Valley. The tour is approximately two hours long, covers about one mile that is level and ADA-accessible, and includes over two dozen stops at 30-plus highlighted buildings that tell the story of Kalispell’s history and people. As you take the tour, you will learn about different architectural styles and modern reuse, prominent citizens and early settlers, how a bison herd could buy a city block, and where to spot ghost signs. It is a fascinating way to explore and learn about the history of Kalispell.
