Winter in northwest Montana was made for playing. With 300+ inches of snow that blanket our mountains and create a downhill skier and snowboarder’s paradise to frozen lakes that are the perfect backdrop for ice skating and hockey, winter is one of Kalispell’s prettiest seasons. The snow here is deep and light, creating a sparkling setting for strolling the storybook-like streets of downtown, wandering through museums, cozying up for made-right-here food and drinks, snowshoeing at Lone Pine State Park or venturing to Glacier National Park to soak up the stillness of winter at Lake McDonald.
