Things to Do

The hub of Montana’s Flathead Valley, Kalispell has an array of places to shop. From a walkable downtown to our north-end commercial district, Kalispell has a large selection of local shops, boutiques and big box stores. Come shop with us.

No matter what you’re looking for, chances are you will find it in our mountain town. If you’re ready to shop like a local, head downtown and hit Main Street. Located among historic buildings, you’ll find both Kalispell staples and new additions, as well as amazing antique markets and vintage finds, art galleries, jewelry stores and wellness destinations that are perfect for relaxing, unwinding and treating yourself.

Our best advice: park the car and meander through downtown. Along the way, you’ll meet local favorites like Sage & Cedar, The Toggery, Western Outdoor and Wheaton’s Cycle, to name a few. You’ll also be greeted by wellness centers, yoga studios and spas.

If you’re ready to cowboy up or gear up for an outdoor adventure, be sure to pop into Rocky Mountain Outfitters, True Water Fly Shop or Western Outdoor.  Pick up a piece of made-right-here art, jewelry and more at Sassafras, a collective that showcases the creations of more than 50 local artisans.

During the summer months, time your visit to include one of Kalispell’s outdoor markets and events to enjoy Montana-made treats, produce, jewelry and more.

And if you’re in need of more mainstream items? Visit Kalispell Center Mall or Kalispell’s north end where you’ll find big box stores like Target, Costco, TJ Maxx and Petco, a movie theater and restaurants. Be sure to visit locally owned Sportsman & Ski Haus.
