Winter is Montana’s quietest season, with snow covering our mountains, twinkling lights, fewer visitors and a slower pace of life. It’s also a prime time to plan a meeting in Kalispell. And while winter in Montana may not seem like the most obvious time to host a meeting in the mountains, depending on your group, it just might be. Here are four reasons to consider bringing your winter meeting to Kalispell, Montana.

  1. It’s quiet. Life slows down here in the winter. This is our cozy season, a time of year when everything we do feels more intentional. For your meeting, that translates to your activities, from team building to break-out sessions and more. And the best part? It will feel like you have all of Kalispell to yourselves.
  2. Special events. When the twinkling lights go up in Kalispell, special events come along with them. A few to note: group tours of the Conrad Mansion Museum (the mansion has beautiful holiday decorations), concerts and performances at the Wachholz College Center, indoor rodeos and more.
  3. Culinary pairings. Kalispell has a robust culinary scene and with fewer visitors during winter, it’s easy to taste the flavors of Montana. Plus, restaurants have more flexibility to work with you on an evening dine around, custom tasting menu and more.
  4. Outdoor recreation. While skiing tends to take center stage in the mountains of northwest Montana, there are abundant things to see and do off the ski slopes. For team building – or to simply experience this time of year in our backyard – consider a guided snowmobiling tour, a horse-drawn sleigh ride at Bar W Guest Ranch or Clydesdale Outpost and guide-led snowshoe tours in Glacier National Park or Lone Pine State Park.
