Bigfork’s 2-mile long gravel trail looks down upon the Wild Mile of the Swan River. Take Montana 35 in to Bigfork, turn on Grand Drive and go past Electric Avenue and the Bigfork Inn. The trailhead’s at the top of the short hill.

The 23rd edition of this popular speaker series runs over four Sundays in January and February 2025. Hear from Montana’s Troubador Jack Gladstone, an anthropologist-ethnohistorian Sally Thompson, traditional knowledge keepers Aspen and Cameron Decker, and a storyteller of amazing natural history Denny Olson.
Brash Rodeo Winter Series 2024-25
November – March:
Rodeo has been a part of Montana’s culture since the first cowboys arrived over 150 years ago. This event includes bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer riding, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, calf roping, and chute dogging. Brash Rodeo is Western Montana’s longest-running series open rodeo.
Josh Turner – This Country Music Thing Tour
MCA Nashville recording artist and truly exceptional vocalist, Josh Turner, is set to bring his nationwide “This Country Music Thing Tour” to the Flathead Valley on January 23, 2025. Known for timeless hits like “Long Black Train” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” he promises an unforgettable performance.
Frosty the Brewfest
Kalispell’s annual Frosty the Brewfest is on tap again and showcasing Kalispell’s craft breweries, on-site food vendors, outdoor events for the whole family!
Cabin Fever Days
The Cabin Fever Days is a local non-profit fundraiser, which benefits the Canyon QRU (Quick Response Unit), Martin City Volunteer Fire Department, Canyon Kids Christmas Fund and the Canyon Community Group and more! Not only is Cabin Fever Days a great time, but it’s also for a great cause. Cabin Fever Days Events take place in Martin City, Hungry Horse, and Coram, Montana. The Barstool Ski Races are right on Central Avenue in Martin City. The street is closed to traffic and covered with snow. The raceway is lined with hay bales to keep the crowds at bay. Many additional activities such a music, competitions and more occur at the several taverns in Bad Rock Canyon – Stonefly Lounge, Packers Roost, Southfork Saloon, Deerlick Saloon, and the Dam Town Tavern.
Whitefish Skijoring in Kalispell
SkiJoring is a timed winter team sport in which a horse and rider pull a skier at high speed on a racecourse with jumps, gates and rings the skier has to navigate. Over the past 10 years, this sport has exploded nationwide with races held almost every weekend throughout the winter. The majority of races are in Montana, Colorado, Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. Whitefish Skijoring in Kalispell is an exhilarating event bringing together the horse world and the ski world on February 22 through 24, 2025 with games with drinks, food, fire, horses, and skiers!
