Located in Ronan is the Three Chiefs Cultural Center (formerly know as The People’s Center). The center was rebranded as Three Chiefs Cultural Center to honor the three tribes that make up the Flathead Reservation: the Salish (Bitterroot Salish), Qlispe (Pend d’Oreilles) and Ksanka (Kootenai). The center includes a gift shop and a small museum gallery, and educational programs. Classes and activities are available year-round by appointment and in the summer without appointments, from the first Saturday in June through September.

23rd Annual John White Series

January through February

The 23rd edition of this popular speaker series runs over four Sundays in January and February 2025. Hear from Montana’s Troubador Jack Gladstone, an anthropologist-ethnohistorian Sally Thompson, traditional knowledge keepers Aspen and Cameron Decker, and a storyteller of amazing natural history Denny Olson.

Christmas Time at the Conrad Mansion

Get into the holiday spirit at the Conrad Mansion this December! Step back in time and experience a traditional Victorian Christmas in the Conrad Family home with our annual Christmas Tours. Our dedicated staff and volunteers deck the halls to create a festive atmosphere. Tours are available Wednesday through Sunday, with special seasonal events including the Christmas Carol Radio Broadcast, Christmas Tea & Tour, and the Valley Voices Choir Concert. Don’t miss out on this magical holiday experience!

Brash Rodeo Winter Series 2024-25

November – March:

Rodeo has been a part of Montana’s culture since the first cowboys arrived over 150 years ago. This event includes bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer riding, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, calf roping, and chute dogging. Brash Rodeo is Western Montana’s longest-running series open rodeo.

Craft Brewers’ Cup

This annual adult hockey tournament and Brewfest begins Friday, December 6th through Sunday, December 8th in the outdoor rink at Woodland Park in Kalispell. Teams come to play from around the region at our splendid outdoor rink. This event is a fundraiser for youth hockey and Woodland Ice Center. Everyone is welcome to watch the games and enjoy food from on-site food trucks, and for those 21 and older, there will be a beer garden available.

2025 Polar Plunge

The 2025 Polar Plunge on Flathead Lake will be held at The Raven on January 1st, starting around 1:30 PM. Arrive early to indulge in a delicious brunch and cozy winter cocktails at The Sitting Duck, open from 10 AM to 3 PM. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable day of fun!
