The Whitefish Trail is a non-motorized multi-use trail system consisting of 15 trailheads and over 47 miles of natural trail surfaces from scenic overlooks. For ADA accessible terrain, check out the Reservoir Trailhead, Holbrook Overlook Trailhead and Swift Creek Trailhead. Minutes from downtown Whitefish, the Reservoir Trailhead has 500 feet of ADA accessible trails, as well as an interpretive/picnic area, vault toilet and parking. Holbrook Overlook Trailhead has 400 feet of accessible trails, as well as an overlook and picnic/interpretive area. For a half-mile of accessible trails, head to Swift Creek Trailhead, where the trail leads to an overlook. The 1.3-mile-long loop at Swift Creek is ideal for beginning hand cyclists, while Lion Mountain is prime for more advanced handcycle riders.

Longview Lavender Distillation Classes

July through August

Experience the magic of lavender! This 2-hour workshop begins with a hands-on tutorial on lavender harvest and concludes with the production of lavender essential oil. Each participant will take home a 10ml bottle of lavender essential oil, a bottle of lavender hydrosol (floral water), and a freshly picked bundle of lavender. The workshop will be held every Thursday from July through August, as well as on August 31st.
