The Flathead Valley is home to a special berry that the bears and humans here both enjoy – the huckleberry! A dark purple berry known for its sweet and slightly tart flavor, huckleberries are a local flavor favorite. While you can pick wild huckleberries on your own throughout northwest Montana, we also recommend stopping along our Huckleberry Treat Trail, where you’ll find savory, sweet delights, as well as drinks infused with memorable huckleberry flavors.
