Hungry Horse Dam and Reservoir are located 20 miles northeast of Kalispell. At 564 feet high, the dam is one of the largest concrete arch dams in the U.S. and its morning-glory spillway is the highest in the world. The reservoir is 34 miles long and surrounded by towering mountain peaks.

The Kalispell Farmers Market offers the freshest produce grown in the Flathead Valley and an array of locally-made goods. Every Saturday during the summer and fall from 9 am to 12:30 pm, find local farmers selling everything from meat and eggs, fruits and vegetables to baked goods to native plants and trees. Shop for handmade jewelry, pottery, soaps, paintings, and many more creations by the region’s talented artisans.

Discover the enchanting world of lavender in our 2-hour workshop! The session starts with a hands-on tutorial on harvesting lavender and concludes with the production of lavender essential oil. Each participant will take home a 10ml bottle of lavender essential oil and a fresh bouquet of lavender that you picked. Please remember to wear outdoor garden clothes and appropriate shoes, as this is a hands-on experience. Workshops are held every Tuesday and Thursday from June through August 13.
