Explore the Foy’s to Blacktail Trail System, a growing network of scenic, stacked-loop trails just minutes from Kalispell. Winding through forests and open landscapes, the trails offer opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, with routes extending south toward Blacktail Mountain. Dogs are welcome on leash, making it a great place to enjoy the outdoors with your four-legged companions.

 

The Herron Park Trailhead is located about 10 minutes from downtown Kalispell, Herron Park is a popular access point for the Foy’s to Blacktail Trail System. To get there, travel west on Foy’s Lake Road for approximately 6 miles, pass Foy’s Lake and look for Herron Park on your right along Foy’s Canyon Road. The Foy’s Community Center, paved parking lot and trailhead kiosk will help you find your way.

Additional parking is available near the stables farther down the road. Pit toilets are available at both the main parking lot and the stables. The Foy’s Community Center is available by reservation through Flathead County Parks & Recreation.
