Fall in Northwest Montana

Stay, Play and Soak up Autumn in Kalispell

With comfortable daytime temperatures, cool and crisp evenings and landscapes painted in an array of reds, golds and yellows, fall in northwest Montana is one for the books. Fall ushers in a quieter time of year to visit and explore, as a slower pace gently weaves its way into our locals’ favorite season.  Plus, there is no shortage of things to do, from soaking in the views in Glacier National Park to fly-fishing the Swan River and kayaking the waters of Flathead Lake to strolling through local shops in downtown Kalispell

With our location in Montana’s Flathead Valley, it’s easy to get away for a long weekend road trip, topped off by hiking through the Flathead National Forest, sipping a seasonal beer at a local brewery, setting out on a horseback trail ride high above the valley, catching glimpses of wildlife in their natural habitats and taking advantage of shoulder-season deals and specials.
