Founded in the late 1800s by Charles Conrad, downtown Kalispell has historic roots and offers shopping, food and attractions for both locals and visitors. On Kalispell’s Main Street, visitors have myriad options to eat, drink, and shop. At Norm’s News, an old-fashioned soda fountain, visitors can enjoy burgers, shakes, and fries along with a selection of candy and fudge. Retailer Western Outdoor offers a wide range of western products, including cowboy hats and boots, beneath what was once an opera house opened in 1896. Kalispell also a features a number of local craft breweries, including Kalispell Brewing Co., Bias Brewing, and SunRift Beer Company.

Spectacular Natural Beauty

With Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake and Flathead National Forest within driving distance, Kalispell is perfectly located for attendees to explore Northwest Montana’s incredible natural beauty following a day of meetings. Glacier National Park has over 700 miles of hiking trails, historic red bus tours, and fly-fishing and rafting. Its central thoroughfare is the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road, which gives visitors jaw-dropping views of dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and wildlife. For attendees who want to escape the crowds during busy season, Flathead National Park offers boating, biking, skiing, and views of the Rocky Mountains without the traffic. Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in the West, with over 200 square miles of sparkling blue water. Along the shore, visitors can enjoy breweries, museums and restaurants.

Easy to Get To

Kalispell is easily accessible by air travel, train, or car. Glacier Park National Airport has direct and non-stop flights to 13 cities, serviced by Delta/Sky West, American Airlines, United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and Allegiant. By train, Amtrak’s Empire Builder trans-American train stops twice a day in Whitefish, 20 minutes from Kalispell. For those driving, Kalispell is easily accessible from Missoula via U.S. 93, or from Canada through a variety of border crossings.
